Burnhamthorpe Medical Centre is a family practice with skilled physicians that are always ready to assist you and your family with medical needs.

Dr. Christina Fung

Dr. Christina Fung is a Family Physician at Burnhamthorpe Medical Centre. She was born in Toronto and raised in Mississauga. She completed her undergraduate studies in Medical Sciences at Western University. She then completed her Masters in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto. She continued to complete her Medical Doctorate at the University of Toronto and finished her residency in Family Medicine at McMaster University.

 

Dr. Fung speaks English and Cantonese. She is passionate about providing comprehensive care and serving the needs of all her patients. Her special interests include working with babies and young families.

 

Dr. Fung is a wife and proud mother of three young children. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, watching figure skating, and playing ping pong.

Dr. Manson Mak

Dr. Manson Mak is a Family Physician at Burnhamthorpe Medical Centre. He completed his medical school at the University of Hong Kong. After immigration to Canada, he completed his residency training in Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine at McMaster University.

 

He speaks fluent English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. He enjoys providing primary care to all patients ranging from babies to the elderly.

 

Dr. Mak is married and has two children. Besides working at the clinic, he enjoys reading, table tennis, and playing with his two cats.

Dr. Matthew Got

Dr. Matthew Got is a Family Physician at Burnhamthorpe Medical Centre. He completed his undergraduate studies in Health Sciences at McMaster University. His Doctor of Medicine was obtained from the University of Toronto and he completed his residency in family medicine at McMaster University. He enjoys providing comprehensive care to his patients ranging from babies to the elderly. He is fluent in both English and Cantonese. 

 

Outside of the clinic, he engages in an active lifestyle that includes running, cycling, skiing, and various water sports. Pre-pandemic, he enjoys learning about foreign cultures through trying new foods and backpacking. He is also a proud Torontonian and enjoys catching Toronto Raptors in action.

Dr. Sarah Xu

Dr. Sarah Xu is a Family Physician at Burnhamthorpe Medical Centre. She received her Doctor of Medicine from the McMaster University Michael G. Degroote School of Medicine. She then completed residency training in Family Medicine also at McMaster University. 

 

Dr. Xu speaks English and Mandarin. She enjoys providing primary care to patients of all ages and is passionate about preventative medicine. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with family.

Dr. Lilian Lee Yan Vivas

Dr. Lilian Lee Yan Vivas (née Wong) is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialist (also known as Physiatrist) consulting at the Burnhamthorpe Medical Centre. She was born in Hong Kong and was raised in Mississauga. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto in Biochemistry and Pharmacology, and her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Western Ontario. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Toronto, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada. 
 
Dr. Vivas speaks both English and Cantonese. She provides rehabilitation counselling and care for disabilities including but not limited to muscle, nerve, and bone systems with a special interest in amputation rehabilitation.
